Biometric Career Awareness
The EdVenture Group is working in conjunction with Biometric Services International (BSI) to develop and disseminate biometric career awareness materials to students’ grades 8-12. Input from school counselors from around the state will be utilized to develop resource materials on available biometric careers and related educational pathways for distribution. The resources will be accessible online for counselor and student access. Additionally, The EdVenture Group will work with BSI to compile a listing of contacts in the field of Biometrics that would be willing to act as speakers and mentors increasing the dissemination of career information.
Finally, through this funding, The EdVenture Group will work with BSI to facilitate informational sessions and train-the-trainers on the Introduction to Biometrics online course being offered as a pilot through WVU Tech and Pierpont Technical and Community College.
